Each Team gets a mechanic

Something new for 2010 is the Chief Mechanic position that each team must fill. There still will be Crew Chiefs (Greggo, Phil, Scott [as long as they want to keep doing this]) and their job will still be team management and communications. However the new Chief Mechanic position has complete control and authority in building the team car and handling repairs and pit stops. In fact the Chief Mechanic is the ONLY team member that can build the car before the race.

When it comes to test and tune for the big race, ONLY the Chief Mechanic and 1 other team member can test at Meadowdale. During the race the Chief Mechanic will be in charge of the pit stop but can designate that the pit stop be performed by another team member if the Chief Mechanic isn't present.
