We talked this past race about changing the format to two 12 hour races.  This is the first of several "decisions" we will vote on.  There will be several new twists to the 2010 race as well, but need to know about the format first.

Ya got 30 days to vote.  After that, you can't complain if you didn't vote.

I say Keep the Original Format because I thing a 24HRs Event should stay 24 HOURS! and if you change the race in to two races cars can be fixed and modified! and I don't think that should occur!

Not for nothing it's just my opinion!

I know it's alittle early but what cars are we going to race?
I say Monogram Vintage Nascars!!!!! they are so COOL!

HELL NO we can't run Monogram Nasty Cars. As much as I like to race them. They would never survive 24 hrs without getting thrown into a brick wall!

So what are the advantages over running two 12 hour races rather that one 24 hour race, other than allowing Norm to whine about losing two races versus one  ?

It would allow people who could not make the first race week-end an opportunity to race the second half. We could race two Saturdays, two Friday nights, two Sundays... you get the picture.. You race two Friday nights (or any combination) 9pm to 9am and you (along with FB and his family) have the whole rest of the week-end. :-)

Your absolutly right Mikey,another school of thought would be it might be a diadvantage to the militia cause the Texaco your whole team works at is open 24 hours and half your team may not be able to race,but now that I think about it it shouldn't matter.you only need two guys to drive the whole race and two guys to lift Scott to apply the lube to the two drivers.SEE everything works out for the best. I was going to suggest all the Militia should quit Texaco and go to work as Maytag repairmen ,the uniforms are similar so you won't have to buy new team shirts and the job and the race is similar cause you just stand around and wait for someone to call for service.

hey Bob does chicagoland carry a lint screen for a kenmore? and what does it  meeen when I put my slot-it on the test block and run it it shakes off the block. Is the car off balance,do I have to move the weight around more evenly should I shim the wheels  with wood blocks underneath?

I wouldn't mind two 12's as Mike makes a good point. This would unfortunately put our crew chiefs streak out of reach though. Sounds like a win - win either way to me, no matter where you work when not racing at Meadowdale.

how about a friday and saturday two 12 hour races start at noon on Friday and start at midnight Saturday! hehe or noon on Friday and Noon on Saturday!? we each get 12 hours to do what ever we want!
