Looking like the 12th and 13th of June (Same as the real 24 hours of Le Mans).  How does that date sit with everyone?

Cars will be the Fly Carrera 6.  There are 6 liveries out there.  I have the cars (3 new ones for the teams).  I also got into stock 3 chassis.
More to come on the cars. 

The team changes will be posted soon as well.

Are we going to break it up into two 12 hours races? I thought the final vote was for two races.
It looks like I am probably going to have a scheduling problem with those dates.

I decided to keep it 24 hours this year. 

There are some personnel changes - Mike Blaha will be going over to the Road Warriors team from the Militia.  Don Anderson is back in this year and will be racing for the Road Warriors.  The Militia will get a driver from the Road Warriors in trade for Mike Blaha.  Any volunteers?  Talk to Greggo.  Berto will stay with the Road Warriors

This year I implemented the Chief Mechanic position (described in another post).  I enjoyed building the car these last two years for the Militia, but I think that was probably an unfair advantage for the Militia (Actually, I just wanted to build a car last year that out ran Penguins car, so been there done that  ).  This year I will not be building the car and will not accept the position of Chief Mechanic for the Militia.  WIth some of the changes I am making around the track, I'll need all the time I can get.

The above changes were discussed amongst the crew chiefs and myself and everyone is happy with the end results.  I feel all these changes will make the teams more equal and competitive.

Ok, here are the current tentative line ups.  As you can see, the Militia need some help.  ?? means we need to verify if the person is racing or not.

Team Road Warriors - Greggo Hernandez, Jim Cusumano, Ed Severini, Eric Staehlin, Jeremy Staehlin, Karl Staehlin, Tim Urbas ??, Tom Urbas ??, Mike Blaha, Berto Smaldone - Total = 10

Team Meadowdale Militia (Name may be changing) - Scott Kania, Kevin Kania, Bob Dunkle, Kevin Freitag, Norb Jillich, Griff Wood - Total = 6

Team 8 Ballers - Phil Trattner, Steve Sorrentino, Ed Kavanaugh, Fred Oliver, Norm Pierantoni, Dan Blankschein ??, Jon Yamanaka, Rich Drejcek ?? - Total = 8

I believe in the works is moving over Karl Staehlin and Tim or Tom Urbas to the Militia.   That makes 8 drivers per team then. 

I don't know of any new drivers that want to participate, but if there is let me know so we can start adding them to the driver pool.

e tu phillipe?  Now here you go, starting to trash the Militia?  How many times does the militia need to spank you 8 ballers before you actually DO shut up?    

BTW, I overheard the militia crew chief setting down some strategy for this year.  I think he said something about getting so far ahead of the other teams by the 20 hour mark, we can just leave early.

Start confirming the dates with your drivers.  June 12th and 13th.  Last years race was the 13th and 14th it turns out, so this isn't earlier in the month as I might have said to people.

Don Anderson returns this year to Team Road Warriors.  Welcome back Don.

Other drivers are also tentatively signing up.  I will be talking to the crew chiefs about some of these new driver assignments.
